Assessment of Family Planning Service Availability and Readiness in 10 African Countries
"The World Health Organization worked with the U.S. Agency for International Development to develop the Service Availability and Readiness Assessment (SARA) survey to measure health facility capacity to provide end users with appropriate, high-quality health care. In this study, the authors looked at the service availability and readiness of health facilities to provide contraception in 10 African countries: Benin, Burkina Faso, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Djibouti, Mauritania, Niger, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, Togo, and Uganda."
First Study on the Incidence of Abortion Among Ugandan Adolescents Released
This new study by researchers at Guttmacher Institute and Uganda's Makerere University documents abortion rates and severity of abortion related complications among Ugandan adolescents.
La Mesa (for Women’s Health and Life)
La Mesa is a collective of organizations and individuals that work for the sexual and reproductive rights of women in Colombia, in particular for the total decriminalization of abortion. Its website contains resources on legal frameworks, research, multimedia, partnerships, and opinion articles on areas of abortion and comprehensive reproductive health, including the health exception. CREATE (Continuing Reproductive Education for Advanced Training Efficacy) is a structured advanced training curriculum that begins to address the barriers between training and future reproductive health provision. This website provides resources for organizations to host their own workshops and sessions.

Advocating for Adolescent Reproductive Health in Sub-Saharan Africa provides some examples of advocacy efforts by looking closely at the strategies and activities of reproductive health advocates in sub-Saharan Africa. These examples provide guidance to new campaigns, stimulate ideas, and generate new contacts among reproductive health advocates from around the region. This resource is also available in French.
Advocacy Kit for Growing Up Global: The Changing Transitions to Adulthood in Developing Countries
"The advocacy kit provides a series of fact sheets on the data and policy recommendations drawn from the publication, as well as calls to action and advocacy tips. Fact sheet topics include youth sexual and reproductive health; youth and marriage; youth and parenting; and youth and education. An executive summary of the publication is also included in the kit."
