GDC to Dominican Republic: Reinstate 2015 law that legalized abortion

Global Doctors for Choice (GDC) petitioned the Dominican Republic President Danilo Medina to reconsider the recent decision that revoked the Dominican Republic Constitutional Tribune’s 2015 landmark law that legalized abortion in the cases of rape or incest, of pregnancies incompatible with life, and/or when a women’s health or life was at risk.  President Medina had advocated for this change and signed it into law.  The December 2015 decision to reverse this landmark law ultimately denies abortion in all circumstances.
